Privacy Policy

This policy explains what PlowDesk collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the PlowDesk website, the homeowner marketplace and the crew software.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, e-mail address and password (or your Google sign-in).
  • Requests from homeowners: your name, phone number, service address and the service you asked for. We share these only with the crew you send the request to.
  • Business details from snow companies: business name, service area, prices, crew members, customers, jobs, photos and invoices you add to your desk.
  • Basic usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, used to keep the service working and to improve it.

How we use it

  • To run the marketplace: show crews that serve your area and deliver your request to them.
  • To run the crew software: dispatch jobs, store photo proof, send invoices and booking alerts.
  • To send messages about your account, requests, jobs and invoices.
  • To keep PlowDesk secure and prevent fraud and abuse.

Payments

  • Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. PlowDesk never sees or stores your full card or bank account number.

Who we share it with

  • The crew you send a request to, and the homeowners a crew chooses to serve.
  • Service providers that host the app, process payments and deliver e-mail or text messages, only as needed to run PlowDesk.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

Your choices

  • You can view and update your account details at any time.
  • You can delete your account yourself in Settings, or ask us through the support chat on any page or by e-mail at hello@theplowdesk.com.
  • Snow companies are responsible for the customer data they add to their desk.

Keeping data safe

  • Data is sent over encrypted connections and access is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password.

Children

  • PlowDesk is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

  • If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
